Join the ILI Instructor Network

ILI is continually interested in hearing from qualified language instructors—even when we do not have an immediate opening. Building a strong network of experienced instructors helps us respond quickly to new group classes, private tutorials and institutional training needs.

Teach Languages with ILI

Founded in 1970, the International Language Institute provides language instruction to individuals, professionals, government agencies, embassies, international organizations and other institutions. We offer live instruction in Washington, DC and online/hybrid formats where appropriate.

We welcome inquiries from qualified instructors in commonly taught and less commonly taught languages, as well as experienced English-language instructors.

What We Look For

We are interested in instructors with strong language proficiency, relevant education and teaching experience, professional communication skills, and the ability to create engaging, learner-centered instruction. Needs vary by assignment.

Tell Us About Your Experience

Prospective instructors should be prepared to provide their language or subject area, education, teaching experience, location, availability, experience teaching online and in person, and a current résumé. Submitting information to ILI’s instructor network does not guarantee an immediate teaching assignment or employment offer.

Why Join the Network?

ILI serves a diverse community of adult learners and institutional clients. Joining our instructor network allows us to consider you when an appropriate class, tutorial or training opportunity becomes available.

Interested in teaching with ILI? Contact ILI and include your résumé and the language or subject you teach. Please also tell us your location, general availability, and whether you are available for in-person, online, or both types of instruction.
