Language & Culture at ILI
Language learning goes beyond the classroom.
At the International Language Institute, we believe that learning a language also means discovering the people, cultures, ideas and communities connected to it. ILI combines live language instruction with opportunities to engage with Washington, DC’s international community.
Our students can build their language skills in class and continue learning through cultural programs, lectures, exhibitions and other educational opportunities offered by organizations throughout the Washington area and online.
Learn the Language. Experience the Culture.
ILI is developing relationships with cultural institutions, embassies and international organizations to help connect students with relevant cultural and educational opportunities. These relationships complement—not replace—the structured language instruction students receive from ILI instructors.
