Group instruction starting at $400 per term
For over 50 years, ILI foreign language classes have served professionals, students, travelers and lifelong learners interested in building practical language skills. To date, we offer over 100 group classes in the most popular languages and private instructions in almost every language. Learn a new language with highly-qualified, native-speaking instructors who teach group classes and offer private tutorials.
Flexible in-person and live online learning. Many ILI foreign language classes use a hybrid format, allowing students to participate in Washington, DC or join the same live, instructor-led class online. This gives local students added flexibility too: when travel, work, illness or another commitment makes it difficult to come to class, they may be able to join remotely rather than miss the lesson.
Choose from 14 Foreign Languages: Our group classes are offered in Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Urdu, and Turkish. Each class is 10 weeks long and meets either once or twice per week. We have four terms per year. To see which levels are offered in each language, the days and start times of each class, please select the language of your choice. One level costs $400, textbooks are extra.

Private Tutorials & Corporate Classes

For most other languages, we offer private tutorials, semi-private tutorials, special small group classes, and corporate classes, to meet your personal or professional language goals. We are proud to have access to native-speaking instructors for these additional languages:
Online Registration
To register for any of our foreign language group classes, a private tutorial or a corporate group class, simply complete our secure online registration form. Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email from us.
